Join the Chicago Gophers in celebrating (or drowning our sorrows) with a post Northwestern game party + Gopher Hockey game watch at Chicago's only Minnesota Gopher bar: Red Ivy Sports Club at 3517 N Clark Street (one block south of the Wrigley Field marquee.)

For those of you taking the CTA after the game: Get on the Purple Line southbound (Howard) at Central in Evanston, transfer to the Red Line at Howard. Get off the Red Line at Addison (Wrigley Field) walk west (toward the ballpark) to Clark Street and take a left, the bar is about a block down on the east side of the street.

There will be $4 Miller Lite drafts, plus plenty of bottled beers, booze and shots for your drinking needs.

At 7 PM the Gopher hockey team takes on Bemidji State which will be on with sound.

Stop by any time after the game or come for the hockey!

This looks great! For those of us driving, is there parking available relatively close by (sorry if this is addressed in link-on a smartphone that's having difficulty displaying the site!)

Thanks and Go Gophers!

A Gophers-Purdue-GeorgiaTech-ClevelandBrowns bar. Chicago is a great town. I lived there for a year twenty years ago and I still miss places like this. If you are at the game, visit these guys afterwards it looks like a great tome.

For those driving there is random parking around that area. I used to always park in the fast food parking lot kitty corner from the stadium sign. I only lived in Chicago for 2 years and I totally miss everything about it like bars like this. I think I may have even went to the red ivy once to check out a gopher hockey game. Enjoy guys!

I wouldn't suggest parking in the McDonalds lot unless you like to gamble.

Chicago obviously isn't a car-friendly city, but at that hour you can probably score street parking on Clark Street which is $2/hour.

Most of the side streets in that area are residential permit parking only.

Hold up - when Nate Dawg invited me to this he did not say hockey was involved. I got duped! :)

Thanks for posting this. Sounds like fun - we will definitely be there immediately following the game!
