and Carter make it 3-2. and then Northwestern score. 5-2.
 


This is it, we lose this one and it's NIT for sure. Nolen sure stroked a nice brick.
 

Look like we playing some Defense tonight.
 


Carter fouled on a 3 point shot. 3 FT coming.
 



this is a much better game by Minnesota so far. 11-5.
 






and Tubby not happy with that charging foul on Sampson.
 


now this is a great game. 22-13 Minnesota and a chance to make it 23-13.

Time to take advantage

Need to create some more separation between now and half with Moore on the bench. He and Coble are the only sources of offense they have.
 





and it halftime. Minnesota with a big lead. 36-18.
 

A nearly flawless half. Love the energy! Where has this type of effort been lately?
 

First time in a while we've seen this kind of energy from the guys. They actually appear to be playing with a sense of purpose tonight, which is good to see. I like the fact that Tubby decided to pick up full court for much of the first half, even if it wasn't exactly a "balls-to-the-wall" type of press.

Against a team that doesn't play a lot of people, speeding things up is a good idea. Also, the guys are getting the ball inside a little tonight, which they haven't done in a while and they also seem to have figured out at least somewhat how to attack a 1-3-1 with a little consistency. On defense, they are really taking the Wildcats to the woodshed. Absolutely nothing there on most of the offensive possessions for Northwestern in the first half.

All around, a great game so far!!!:D This is the kind of energy we need for the rest of the year!!!!

They're getting it inside a LITTLE, but with the considerable size advantage, they should be getting it inside a lot more.

Good defense so far, outside of the possession where Sampson got stuck on Coble, who left him in the dust for an easy layup.

Love the intensity, and love seeing Bostick getting into the flow of the game, even if he was a few feet off on his last 3-pointer (yikes!!).
