LOL. I just got an email from the Chicago Alumni Association. They are having something at the Golf course $25 for food, beers and wine.

That really isn't my kind of environment so I think the lot 3 that was mentioned could be awesome. Let's pick that?

Gophers vs. Northwestern Tailgate
Date: Saturday, November 19 2011

Time: Game time is 11:00 am CST. Tailgate will begin at 8:00 am

Location: Peter Jans Golf Course

Cost: $25 in advance - must be registered by November 15th at noon. At the gate, the cost will be $35.

Me and 18 others are heading down there this weekend. We are all looking at tailgating and the #3 lot does look appealing. Any idea what time the lot will open for a 11:00 am game?

When I called the Northwestern Ticket office last week, they said there wasn't a time it opens at. I plan on getting there around 7 to get a solid amount of boozing in.

Lots close 3 hrs afterward, which is pretty typical.

Edit: Still don't know their keg rules....Because THAT could get interesting
 

Adding to the question about when the lot opens, I couldn't really tell you definitively but, in the two previous instances where our group has tailgated in this lot, I believe we once arrived around 7:30 and another time around 8:30 and had no problem getting in either time. In fact, I can't even recall there being an attendant at the lot, though I wouldn't take that as a for sure.

With regards to kegs, not sure what the policy is on that. We've usually just brought several 30-packs of Old Style Light (when in Rome...) and gone from there.

Sounds like it'll be a good time in the lot that morning regardless. Our group has actually grown a bit from original count, and I think we're expecting to have ~12 people with us now.
 

I'm liking this trend of large groups. Everyone remember to bring your Gopher Flags and such. If anyone has a speaker system, that would be real sweet.

Weather Update: 57 degrees and a 50% chance of rain. Joy.
 

Tomorrow I'm going to buy a group of 10 tickets, just in case people need them. go ahead and jump onto the facebook group as well if you would like.
 



I'll be wondering around the GLC/UMAA tailgate with an extra ticket to the game if anyone is looking. Otherwise, I hope to ruin a scalpers day by giving a free one to a customer.

Upgraded: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy and breezy, with a high near 54.
 

I'll be at GLC tailgate. Don't have a ticket yet. Maybe some rich donor will give me one...
 

I have 8 tickets to sell off.

I may end up swinging over to the Alumni tailgate at the Golf course at some point too Saturday morning.

Croc I'm also looking for one for my brother, we will be at the tailgate in the silver Neon. PM today if you still have some and I will check when I get to my hotel in evanston.
 


Apparently we're getting the hookup with some Northwestern folks next to the stadium. This is my fifth Gopher game in Evanston, and my hope is this will be the first time I've experienced something that resembles a college football atmosphere.
 

IDK about you all, but I'm kind of treating this game like a game with full GA seating ;).

All my tix are gone. I PM'd those who asked.
 

Lot 3's cross streets are Sheridan and foster. Looks real close to campus.
 


Croc, had a blast tailgating with you today let me know when you get to the cities and we will have some beer and Jim Beam waiting for you!
 

Had a blast as well. I wish I wasn't freezing at the game, and the outcome turned out better.
 

Had a great time tailgating in Lot 3. We were the Bladder guys. Thanks for the Beam. Had a blast tailgating with Wettstein's parents and his uncle. They are good people. Now back to being hungover.
