Nolen Anderson commits to Gophers!!!

Interesting watch- haven't really seen these kids before.

Nolan was the best player on the court for most of the game, clearly a D1 player. Iverson, from the vast landscape of 6'2'' guards who can't dunk, super crafty/smooth, won the game for MG. Big guy Thelen looked remarkably coordinated for a 7'1'' 16/17 yo and scored a ton of easy Jokic buckets against short ppl. Was wondering why Babou was getting ranking love until 14:10 when he finally opened his bag...

I don't understand how Wiggins isn't related to Andrew- they're exactly the same player: 70% raw physical talent, 30% fundamentals crafted from playing against a fold up chair, and 0% effort/hustle. The Charmin-soft lay-up thing he tried with the game on the line was brutal: I would have been livid to be his teammate... Good d by Babou and Thelen tho

Agreed. Was at the game, and Anderson was the best player on the floor. He had been the best player for Wayzata all year - he's going to be a good one. He can shoot, handle the ball, and has gotten a lot stronger since last year. Wiggins is real up and down. He looks great one game, and then just disappears. Iverson is going to real well at NDSU.

Last night…..Wayzata played at East Ridge with both our local recruits featured. Niko, Thor, and another of our coaches were present.
Tomes had 36 (at least 15 free throws) but forced a lot of the action even though frequently double teamed. Threw up some wild shots and got stuffed at the rim a couple times. (by Nolen) Still he shows a bag full of offensive that is promising if he learns how to share….and not just be the focal point. Anderson had a nice all around game (26) Continues to remind me of a young Tyson. Wayzata won 90-70.

Great take! Wiggins was highly rated as a soph and jr, and has fallen. He has a very timid demeanor.

Probably the worst I have seen Ann on video, everyone has a dud now and then, especially underclassmen.

Anderson in the 5-6 games I have seen him, has always been on from 3, and in his bad games he is still getting 17-20. He has enough inside game to stop coaches from putting a 6-3 guard on him, the way some big ten teams did to Battle.

Thelen plays hard, he really should go to a mid major where he can get playing time early on. I feel he would sit for 3 years at a bigger school, and maybe not improve much.

I haven’t seem Thelen play. But I am hoping that he has talent the Gophers can tap into. They haven’t had many 7 footers lately.
