Yeah, I don't think we optimized his skillset here. I'm not sure there is a good starter there but I think a quality Big 10 role player.
 

He was athletic, but he essentially shot his way out of the starting five, and completely out of the rotation for majority of the season.

He can't graduate until he successfully passes a class.
 










BJ Omot is from Mankato and played at Mankato East. Played ant North Dakota before transferring to Cal. Interesting transfer.
  • Earned a spot on the All-Summit League First Team following a breakout sophomore season at ND
  • Averaged 16.7 points & 4.2 rebounds while playing a team-leading 35.2 minutes per game
  • Played in just 4 games at Cal before he was sidelined with a season-ending wrist injury
  • Averaged 10.8 PPG, 3.0 RPG & 1.0 SPG in 26.5 minutes played during his limited time on the court
  • Started the season with 3 double-figure scoring efforts, including 15 (7 of 13 shooting) at Vanderbilt (Nov. 13)
  • Added 6 rebounds & 2 steals in 31 minutes played vs. the Commodores
  • Was 1 of 10 scholarship transfers to join the Golden Bears in the 2024 offseason
