I am not as "up" on NIL as others, although I get the whole concept of players being able to profit off of their name and likeness. PJ seems to have done pretty well so far on this from the football side for the product he has to work with (say compared to other "Name" programs in the Big 10). I questioned the Ben hire to begin with because of his lack of experience, but we gave him 4 years. I questioned the U's support because of the NIL piece and the constant roster turnover. I am not sure he was ever setup for success. Is that on Coyle and the Athletic Department, who are supposed to creeate those opportunities, or is that Ben's responsibility? Until they returned from the California trip, they were competitive, before it all fell apart ending with the firing. I just don't get the plan there? They want somebody with Minnesota roots. Is that so they can get the "hometown discount" with the hire and NIL money coming in?
