I’d imagine if Ben were to get another job as head coach it would be difficult for him to find assistants since he was head coach only 4 years and his network may be fairly small.

The story line is rich.
- Coyle hires Ben 4 years ago certain it won’t work, but his hand is forced by the king, erm president and/or commish.
- Coyle meets secretly with Medved in the North Castle, erm, Brainerd Lakes Resort sharing that Niko is the true heir to the throne, erm, golden benches. He knows the peasants, erm, fans will grow restless in due time if resources are not sufficiently granted to the new prince, erm, coach and thus promises to throttle funding to create further tumult.
- Medved sends Thorson as his envoy to keep the throne warm and sow further discontent.
- Upon Medved’s assumption of the throne, Thorson is honored for his noble deeds taking a seat at the prince’s side.
- All is right in the kingdom and Coyle lets the riches flow. The peasants are once again happy and the mighty Gophers assume their rightful position as a middle of the road Big10 team.
