Niko just confirmed that at the press conference.
Go Gophers!!
Go Gophers!!
Always part of it when you have back to back alums as coach. You guys called it, pretty awkward situation with Ben though
Niko and Ben remain close.Always part of it when you have back to back alums as coach.
SNiko and Ben remain close.
Coyle remains close with everyone. Except Lindsey.Niko and Ben remain close.
Thorson would have been here one way or another even if he didn’t work for Ben 1st. He would have followed Niko here.Don't understand this decision at all but ok.
I suppose so. Just seems like recycling old ideas. Also the optics of having an assistant from a terrible time in Gophers men's basketball.Thorson would have been here one way or another even if he didn’t work for Ben 1st. He would have followed Niko here.
Okay, Paul HarveyThere is a story here that is not being told.
We’ve had lockdown defense for the past three seasons.no surprise, they worked together before
I know some want to erase history of Ben, but it's not like Thorson isn't capable
……………………..Good day!!Okay, Paul Harvey
Well you don’t like the Princess Bride or puppies, either apparently!!The takeaway is Thorson was NOT part of the problem and I cannot do the counter factual gymnastics to believe this.
I’d imagine if Ben were to get another job as head coach it would be difficult for him to find assistants since he was head coach only 4 years and his network may be fairly small. You guys called it, pretty awkward situation with Ben though
Nothing But Net!Thorson was a winner at DeLaSalle. He knows high school basketball in Minnesota. The high school coaches know him. He raised money when he was a De. It makes total sense that he's on the coaching staff. A very smart move.
Class act for Niko to salute Ben. Niko knows how hard the job truly is, unlike most (all) of us on this board. He knows how Ben must feel to be fired from his alma mater after Ben poured his heart and soul into the job.
