Sort of surprised that Lunardi has us in his "Next 4 Out" (as of 3/8). Does that mean a win over Penn St and Mich St on a Neutral court would get us in?

No. Win over PSU follwed by a loss to MSU puts us in a worse spot that we are right now. Wins over PSU and MSU are the mimum needed for a real shot, and that is probably a 40% chance at best. Beat PSU, MSU and Purdue and the chances go up to about 80%.

Just a note of reality

You guys can debate/argue/prognosticate/project/guess all you want. But the truth is none of you has any say at all in deciding who will play in the tournament and who will miss out. That rests solely in the hands of the Selection Committee come next Sunday. What you say or do between now and then will have zero affect on what they decide. And unless you are possessed with telepathy powers or tied in directly with the deity, you also have no sure way of knowing what they are thinking. Nor does Joe Lunardi. So let's pack it away, cheer for the Gophers in the Big Ten Tournament, let the committee do the job they have been assigned (and not you) and hope we're all happy come next Sunday.

Surfer dude closes down Gopherhole. Aloha!

To surfer dude

Don't like it don't read it....the title of the post told you what it was...yet you read it anyway...sounds like you are just as interested as the next guy...good job being a dickhead though.

It's amazing to me that Bracketography has us in, and they have been the most consistent and accurate bracketology over the last few years getting something like 96% of the teams right. So obviously they are seeing something that most of us aren't seeing.

We'll see if they have us in it come Sunday night...that's what really matters ;)

Although the actual bracket might be the one that matters most

This isn't good

I've been impressed with the Gophers' play over the last three weeks (minus Michigan), but if we're holding on hope from the 'next four out,' we're in trouble!!!

jj, would you happen to have a link to it? Thanks in advance.

www.bracketography.com

Read some of the history of the site, quite impressive. Also, read some of the posts that the founder of the site has put up in regards as to why he puts seeds where he does. He def knows his stuff and knows exactly what the committee is looking at when picking and seeding teams

Watchig the Sun Belt Championship and it looks like Joe moved us back into the first four out. We were at the top of that list!
