A secret MN Forum is closely monitoring an increased level of activity surrounding rival gangs from Madison and Minneapolis. Indications are there is some bad blood boiling over between their leaders. Talks between the groups have grown more passionate and angry this week. Some feel that a physical confrontation is inevitable.
One unnamed source suggests that warring factions of these gangs may meet in the 300 block of Oak St SE late Saturday morning. Police are on the look out for weapons, specifically an axe, which is considered to be the weapon of choice for these gangs. Police believe it may take over 3 hours for this confrontation to play out.
Other sources have indicated that another group of men, unaffiliated with either the Madison or Minneapolis gangs, will be carrying chains and trying to keep order. It is not clear if they will be up to the task.
Passions are high in each gang’s communities, said one unnamed source. Many people are expected to gather in and around this area in anticipation of this battle. Local police plan to surround the area Saturday in an attempt to maintain order.
People close to the situation believe that the Star Tribune has assigned 2 junior interns to monitor this situation to keep the public at large informed.
