per the News Journal:

Briean Boddy-Calhoun walked off the field at Delaware Stadium after a spectacular 2011 Blue-Gold all-star game performance expecting his next football stop to be at Division III Wesley College.

Four years later, the Delcastle High graduate from Wilmington enters his senior season at the University of Minnesota as the Big Ten’s most respected cornerback and a likely NFL draft pick next spring.

Boddy-Calhoun’s journey from relative obscurity into the college football spotlight is a product of his own talent and determination, but also potential only a few coaches detected.

“I didn’t play for one of those powerhouse programs – St. Mark’s, Sallies, William Penn – and I definitely got more recognition in basketball,” Boddy-Calhoun said of his high school days.

“But it does feel good to come out of the shadows. The one thing I know is I always had respect. When people saw Delcastle on the schedule they always knew who I was and that was enough for me and I loved my teammates when I was there.’’
