Just a couple little tidbits I just found out:

* The team store at the stadium will open sometime in July.
* The signage in the concourse is anything but random. Basically, the photos on the signs will be a walking timeline of every All-American and historically significant figure in program history.
* There will also be large 9-foot banners for all 25 sports highlighting their Big Ten titles, NCAA titles and NCAA Tournament appearances.
* There will be a tribute to all of the all-time coaches on the wall outside of the coaches locker room and lounges.
* Finally, there will be a large Gopher football timeline on the wall leading from the recruiting room to the locker room.

Why all sports?

Nothing against the other sports but why include them with banners at TCF? I don't expect to see our hockey championships noted at the Barn. Sounds like a case of trying to treat every kid the same but this ends up failing.

Actually, this is already done at Gustavus. I realize GAC and UofM isn't exactly apples to apples but GAC has a large wall in one building dedicated to all-sport championships with banners for each sport (mens and womens). It looks pretty cool.

Indeed. Not to mention TCF Bank Stadium will also house the Gopher Athletics Hall of Fame, so at times you'll have people there not "just" for football.

Correct, it's now the flagship of all athletics. I can't wait to get in there and wander around reading all the stuff, it will be like the first time I went to Mariucci as a kid and literally spent about an hour after the game with my dad looking at all the displays.

Count me as one of those that are just completely impressed with everything about the new stadium. It appears they thought of everything. I mean come on, putting a block M in the sink of the suites. The tables, the banners, the scheme behind it all. The administration was right when they spent the extra money to make sure it wasn't just a carbon copy stadium that could have been so easy to do. This is certainly going to help in recuiting because the place is just amazing. Imagine being a 17 year old kid walking into that locker room for the first time.

The only minor thing that I would like to see adjusted is the block M in the lower level seats. The bars on top could have a column of maroon seats on each side of the aisle so it doesn't look like a big gold bar going across the top. Again its just a minor detail that won't be noticed during games when the seats are full.

Can't wait to go to a game at TCF Bank Stadium compared the the stale dome.

I thought of exactly the same thing regarding putting a maroon seat at the ends of the aisles to make the big M look better. Maybe they could paint the aisle maroon to make it look better if they don't want to switch out the seats.
