New DL: Omonode.

Haven't seen announcement yet, but 247's transfer portal tracker shows that Mariere Omonode, a 6'0" 286 lbs DL has transferred from Purdue to the Gophers. We've got a lot of length at interior line. Maybe Omonode--if he has actually transferred--might bring some quickness and a different kind of leverage to the interior DL. I'm thinking of DL Richardson back in the Kill years.

Over his three years at Purdue, the Indiana native played in 33 games on defense and never has had a season where he's finished with a PFF grade below 70. And that's with most of his snaps coming at one-technique, a spot that sees extensive double-teams in the Big Ten.



Seems like a solid add to the DL rotation!
