I like the Astronaut reference for Purdue. In addition to the First Man to Walk on the Moon, Neil Armstrong, the Last Man (currently) was also a Boilermaker Alum, Gene Cernan.

Additionally Gus Grissom an original Mercury 7 and Roger Chaffee, both perished during an Apollo 1 test, also went to school in West Lafayette.
