Another local angle is that the NC St. QB is Ryan Finley. His father grew up in Edina, but eventually moved to Phoenix. His grandparents still live in the same house on the mean streets of Edina. Originally played at Boise St. and became the starter. He broke a bone in his ankle and then Mark Rypien's son took over...and the writing was on the wall, so he transferred.
