Nebraska is doing a 'No-Sit Sunday' at Pinnacle Bank Arena

I have a hard time seeing the old people that sit there with their arms crossed the whole time standing for a game...

I always like ways to try to get the crowd more engaged. One thing that drives me up the wall is how in various sports, we will play some exciting music (Welcome to the Jungle) and put a message up on the board telling everyone to get up, but then when the music stops everyone sits down as the play starts. However much standing time we have, it seems like it should all be during play trying to mess with the other team. I've thought it would be fun for a baseball team to replace the 7th inning stretch with a designated half inning where the fans all stand for the half inning.

I suppose you'd want to replace the peanuts and crackerjacks too.

Michigan State does the best job of this, IMO, with the white shirts and annoying jumping up and down whenever the opponent has the ball.

That's because every seat you see on the TV of the Breslin center is a picture of the students section. The whole lower bowl around the court(about 10-15 rows) is all the student only section.

Yeah, Statler and Waldorf behind us don't cheer at all. They just make disparaging comments about the team throughout the game.

I love the way MSU does that. It has to make it a tough place to play with screaming jumping students no matter which way the player looks or where they are inbounding from.

Over/under halftime before they are down by so much everyone sits?
