Not surprising, but great to see nonetheless. I do wonder how much red there will be in the stands, if memory serves me right there are always a few thousand Nebraska fans at TCF (maybe 10-20% of the crowd). Regardless, it should be a great atmosphere and I'm sure the team is excited to be back in front of the home crowd again after being on the road the past couple of weeks.

Not surprising. We now appear to have a great running game to go with our great QB. Rose Bowl Bound.

Good to hear!

Tickets in my section are selling nearly as high as the TCU game ...

Hopefully with 2:30 we get a really good student turnout.

Very cool to hear this. I guess they consider only singles being left as a sellout. I can go to Gophersports right now and buy a single ticket but if you look for two you are out of luck. Should be a great atmosphere.

The students will show up well. They always do for 2:30 games, especially againts Iowa/Wisconsin/Nebraska.

One interesting plot line from a ticketing perspective is how important a win this weekend is for attendance the rest of the year. Michigan game will be a big crowd regardless, but I think a win essentially guarantees a sellout or very near sellout (50K+).

How many Nebraska fans will be there? I know a guy that just moved here last year, his family is from Nebraska and he is going with a group of them

Guessing (and really, just completely guessing) there will be in the vicinity of 6,000-10,000 (that would be about 10-20% of stadium capacity). Given the Gophers have been averaging big crowds full of Gopher fans for their home games so far, I imagine there will be at least 45k Gopher fans in the stands on Saturday.

find it mildly amusing how some on GH seem to kind of obsess over the "i wonder how many travelling fans will be in the stands" topic whenever it comes up. not hating or anything......just an observation.

Yup and there will be 30k Nebraska fans.

The Dome sort of conditioned the fanbase to expect massive droves of opposing fans when a popular, close-by team comes to town. Hasn't been the case as much at TCF but the psychological wounds haven't healed yet for many.

I think this game has been a sell-out for about 2-3 weeks now. You couldn't find a pair, nor could you get student tickets about 2-3 weeks ago. Great progress for our program, and hopefully the squad pulls through with a 'W' to keep the momentum rolling for the Halloween night tilt against Michigan.

Not looking forward to seeing the sea of red. The Iowa and Wisconsin take over hasn't been very apparent at TCF, but Nebraska fans seem to have no trouble finding their way in.

find it mildly amusing how a gh poster obsesses whenever someone talks about a Star Wars gopher shirt being on sale at kohls...just an observation

This game was bundled I believe. There were great crowds for our first three games at home. Either Nebraska fans sold those games or not as many fans in red bought tickets. I can't imagine more than 8,000 tops.

They have already stopped selling student guest passes for the game. Should be a great turnout for students.

This. I called today (Monday) to get guest passes for some friends who inquired over the weekend only to discover they have been sold out for some time. In my entire time as an undergrad a sellout was not even in my thought process. I used to go with my friends to Mariucci Saturdays before the game and get student tickets on the way to the game and arrive 10 minutes late and sit lower level...

The TCU game shocked me when I arrived 15 minutes early and had to stand behind people at the very top top of the stadium, not even in an actual row. It's amazing to see this transition. Truly amazing. And to think we don't even have a D1 quarterback (sarcasm).

Don't think there will be over 10,000 in red. Maybe 5K.

A win on Saturday coupled with Harbaugh-mania probably guarantees a sellout against Michigan. No doubt Wisconsin will be a sell out. If we continue to play well then maybe Illinois will be a good crowd.

Not sure about the entire stadium but the student section (including guest passes) is sold out for Nebraska, Michigan and Wisconsin.

I don't think you will see as much red as you might think.

This game sold heavy locally quite early...

Kill just said not even the head coach can get extra tickets to the game. It's gonna be crazy in there.

Trust me...anything to get out of this Godforsaken state! Trust me on this one as well, lots of people falling off the bandwagon here in Nebraska. I have many friends who have told me they are done watching or even caring about them this season...but they are the self-proclaimed greatest fans in the world.

Excellent, always more fun with that section full.

Now I want good weather..... if someone can arrange that for me.

Agreed.

Nebraska fans two years ago were significantly fewer than their first visit. They're dedicated fans but they weren't happy with Bo and now this year.... they'll be there but I doubt it will be as much as we have seen in the past.

It's going to be a perfect fall day for football on Saturday. Sunny, around 50 degrees, light breeze. Literally couldn't ask for a more perfect day to play.

Well if everyone is serving up good news.

1 win please.

Also if someone can bring me the chair so I can parade around with it....
