Nebraska by 18.5

Seems about right. Plenty of money still to come in on the Nebraska side with that spread at home.

The key to the game is to get Bo Pelini to fly off the handle and call the officials something that rhymes with "clock shucker."

We'll be in worse shape than we were for Illinois. So the spread is is about right.

I think 20 is a tad high. Nebraska should win by that amount, but I would not be surprised with a 7-14 point win...

Our injury report from yesterday was bad news. Roland Johnson being out will hurt.

88% of the action is still going to Nebraska at -20. Vegas doesn't typically lose, so they must think the Gophers will cover.

Curious where you got the bolded information from. If that was accurate, which I doubt, Las Vegas would be making a HUGE bet that the Gophers would be keeping Nebraska to 19 or less points. Please clarify why on earth Las Vegas why would do this, because they wouldn't.

I'm no genius, but I'd be willing to bet the info is from the link Omega posted.

He misinterpreted the emboldened information. The 88% is what Sportsbook.com (Vegas Insider's partner sportsbook) allegedly has taken on the game. Sportsbook.com is a scam sportsbook located in San Jose, Costa Rica. The 88% is not what Las Vegas has taken on the game. There's no way to know what Las Vegas as a whole is taking on the game because there are so many sportsbooks & there's no way the sportsbooks are sharing that sensitive information. As for for Sportsbook.com RUUUUUUUN, don't walk out of that shop if they haven't already screwed you. They have an awesome URL, marketing & website, but good luck getting your money when you win. Their regular business practice is to make people wait 4-16 weeks to get their money, they claim your request was never submitted (several times), checks in the mail, etc etc. in an effort to get people frustrated enough that they just bet & lose the winnings back to the house. They are rated a D- by www.Sportsbookreview.com Lot's of good options that will actually pay you when you win (if you don't have a local guy to play with) including Bookmaker.com, The Greek.com, 5Dimes.com, etc.

"All right people, we got 10 minutes 'till game time, let's all gather 'round. I'm not much for giving inspirational addresses, but I'd just like to point out that every newspaper in the country has picked us to finish last. The local press seems to think that we'd save everyone the time and trouble if we just went out and shot ourselves. Me, I'm for wasting sportswriters' time. So I figured we ought to hang around for a while and see if we can give 'em all a nice big sh*tburger to eat!"

Thanks - Obviously I can't see very well and I won't commit on my intelligence but the definition of the trend line can't be the percentage of the betting on Nebraska to cover. There is no way that Las Vegas would allow 88% of the bets on the side that Nebraska covers. Does anybody know what it actually means?

P.S. Sorry I just read Costa Rican Gopher's explanation/correction of the original post.

Pretty impressive but WAY over my Pay Grade! Also noticed that's the spread is now 21.

which means Vegas wants some money bet on MN to cover the spread, as most money is betting on Nebraska to win by more than the spread.

Yeah, can't imagine much money at all coming in on the Gophers.

If Vegas would bump the spread to -24.5 Nebraska, there will be a ton of money on the Gophers to beat the spread.

I took the 21 points. Probably should have waited to see if it hit 21.5, but I didn't want the half point going the other way.
