The NDSU and University of Minnesota game on Sept. 24 in Minneapolis is sold out, according to the Gopher website. It’s one of two Minnesota games that sold out with the other being the University of Nebraska.

Plus only 214 tickets left on Stubhub for NDSU game with over 1000+ for iowa, wisc, nebraska.


Lots of demand and this should be quite the party, cant wait to party with you fine people. Ill be in the End Zone in my gopher season tickets, so feel free to come talk some smack with me!!!


on 9/25/11 you will have ALL OF THE NDSU FANBASE CHEERING FOR YOU LOUDLY!!

Minnesota-NDAC III was held on September 29, 1934, and the final score was Minnesota 56, NDAC 12. Since our mighty Gophers gave up a grand total of 36 points in 8 games that season en route to our first national championship, including 4 shutouts, the Sue should be proud that they scored 12 points that game, a total equalled by Iowa in their 48-12 drubbing at the Gophers' hands.

The game taking place on September 24, 2011 will actually be Minnesota-NDAC VIII (that's 8, since I know you can't count that high in Roman numerals, let alone Arabic), and the final score will be reminiscent of that from the actual Minnesota-NDAC III.

(History didn't start in 2006, in case you were wondering.)

I know what I'm gonna hear in response to this post: LB is guilty of some awful unspecified sin that I somehow missed in the two years I've been following this board and the 18 months since I registered. He's a horrible person who hates the Gophers and he's trying to find a gay lover on this board (what does it say about you that you think that, Unregistered?).

Hey LB, thanks for coming around! I enjoy your posts, and as a transplanted Twin Citian now living in Fargo, I totally get the Bison thing. They're huge. However, I would definitely disagree with your claim that most NDSU fans are also Gophers fans. This is a one-horse town, and the only horse is a bison.

No. NDAC has been playing football since 1922. The fact that they only recently moved up to Division I is irrelevant in terms of how many games have been played. I can see why you'd want to revise the history, as the Gophers absolutely scrubbed your ass in every game prior to 2006, but the fact is that they have played 7 times, with this year's contest being the 8th. Period. End of discussion.

No, it isn't. It is not a rivalry. We have rivalries with Wisconsin, Iowa, and Michigan. NDAC has rivalries with the Jacks and the Sue. We don't have a rivalry with NDAC, nor do they have one with us. Playing someone once every few years does not make it a rivalry.

This makes no sense at all. Minnesota and NDAC do not go after the same recruits, nor will they ever. If Minnesota ends up being good enough to be in a position to ignore marginal Minnesota prospects (a huge longshot, at best), those recruits will end up going to MAC/WAC/Conf. USA schools long before they'll even consider NDAC. Recruits who go there do so because it's the best of a pool of poor options.

Sold out for now, but stay tuned. There are unsold seatbacks (between the goal lines) that will eventually be released as single game tickets, probably next month.

Do you actually read his posts? He's a total knob who stretches the truth, at best, or often downright lies in every single one of his posts. I could put up with him being the village idiot if he could just stick to the truth. But he can't, because he is pathological in every sense of the word, and so I will rip him mercilessly each and every time he pokes his head in here. Agreed. Recruits have a lot of choices. If we don't give them on offer, they will most likely take an offer from a MAC, WAC or another FBS conference.

I was up at a fair in NW Minnesota a while ago. I counted seven Minnesota shirts, 3 Bemidji State shirts, 1 UND shirt and 1 NDSU shirt.

Ndsu Rivals are UNI, SO ILL, SDSU. we havent played und in 7+ years.

5,602/14,407 = 38.9%

So far, we are at 61/146 (41.2%). There's no way in hell I'm going through all the rosters and counting, but in order for your "80%" figure to be true, virtually every player on every other roster would have to be from Minnesota. Let's take a look at just one more. One with a lot of players. How about, say, men's track and field?

Total number of athletes on roster from Minnesota: 30

30/59 = 50.9%

As of the most recent figures, 38.9% of NDAC students are from Minnesota, and (based on partial figures), 91/205, or 44.4% of NDAC athletes are from Minnesota. Just for poops and giggles, we can assume the total is 50% or less, but we will even give him 50% just to humor him. The last time I checked, 38.9% and 50% are nowhere near 60% and 80%, respectively. Stop making sh*t up, LakesSue. You WILL be called out on it, each and every time.

Again, it is NOT a rivalry and the only demand for it is from NDSU fans.

But I did here College Gameday was going to be there.
 

...It's only sold out cause there is nothing to do up here in Fargo. "TONS OF DEMAND FOR IT"...translated... I'm from Fargo and I can't wait to get the hell out of this stupid town and go have some fun in a REAL city.
