NCAA Bracket

I was never pissed at Carter for leaving per se. The coach who recruited her was gone. I was a little pissed though that she didn't at least wait to see who the new coach was. It would have been nice if she would have had a conversation with Cook before making the jump.
She was here. Sat in on the press conference. Cook talked to her. Then she bailed.

Landfair didn't. I give her credit for giving it a year. But the team would have been in much better shape had Booth stayed. Wenaas was leaving anyhow. I give her a pass, considering she was an OH being asked to play opposite.

Barnes was the first. But Booth sent the program in the wrong direction, even if Hugh leaving was the biggest hit.

Why did Landfair transfer?
Was it the coaching change?
I can't speak for her, of course. But my assumption is that she gave it a year and didn't feel like it was the program to maximize her potential. Seems odd, considering her reduced role at Nebraska but there is no denying it's a better program in many ways even if it's not for everyone.

I'd like to give Landfair credit for staying, but I think we'd have been better off if she left right away. It seemed she was never truly committed that season and became a disruption to team chemistry. I don't fault her for leaving, but I do fault her for that poor season.

I guess that's easier than faulting Cook. I have no idea what actually went on.

All I know is that something has been off for a long time, even before Hugh left. Barnes, Rollins, Booth, Landfair, Wenaas, etc. etc. Pittman also seemed very unhappy with what was going on. Will anyone ever spill?

Can we pin it all to a review of a pancake v Oregon? I think that's a good possibility, although they did make it back to the 2019 championship semi-final.

That call sucked all the excitement out of the program. Hopefully Cook can rebuild the program back to where it belongs.

Different atmosphere can do wonders for just about anybody. She appeared a lot happier at Nebraska and you could see the Landfair we had when she first came to our program.

They had beaten Nebraska twice that year too. Sucked that Oregon laid an egg v the Huskers.
