National Championship game tonight - NDSU vs Montana State

That was the worst defensive play I have ever seen. Cam Miller throws a terrible ball, he’s not a NFL prospect, is he?

Intensity is high and sounds like Montana traveled well.

Just turned it on watching this N Dakota drive to score. Going to be tough now for Montana.

I saw a guy the other day in a Walgreens Store, wearing a jacket proclaiming North Dakota to be champions for football of a particular year. The jacket was actually quite messy with all sorts of "stuff" sewed onto the jacket. I wanted to say, " who did you beat for the championship, Ohio State? Georgia? Alabama? But I pass.

Northern Illinois moving to Mountain West for football means NDSU likely stuck in Junior Varsity for many years to come.

2040 Championship game might be NDSU vs St Thomas
I wouldn't presume to think I knew what minor league football (currently known as FBS) will look like in 2040 and therefore am not sure what the level below it will look like either

Amazing to me how some of us just delight in insulting FCS football by calling it "Junior Varsity" or other similar attempts to put it down when there's an FCS thread. Do you have any idea the number of NFL Hall of Famers who played so-called JV college football? The list is long and very impressive. I love football at all levels...it threatens my love for the Gophers not one bit. I think it's great to see so many Minnesota kids on NDSU's team. Tonight's game was a fantastic football game.

Let me tell ya- I was in Missoula for the Montana-NDSU game last year, and that stadium was as loud as any game I’ve ever been to at the Bank- and I was at the Penn State game in 2019. “JV” or not, it’s an entertaining product.

NDSU overcame Crown College, Montana State, South Dakota State, Winona State and Wisconsin Oshkosh and all the others to be crowned the kings of small college football again. Congrats to the Fighting Hawks! The big fish is once again the rulers of the small pond.

It's been over 13 years since the Gophers lost to NDSU. Time to lose the inferiority complex.

We don't get the lineup of NDSU visitors like we did back in the day, so admittedly it isn't as much fun to pull out the schtick as it used to be. Used to get responses from NDSU people all the time but they just aren't around anymore, which is good.

Instead, it is more likely to generate a response from someone that doesn't know what is going on, like you.

Sounds like you need a new hobby

I'm guessing that using the wrong nickname was deliberate.

It is fun watching Minnesota kids and continues to raise the bar for high school football in Minnesota. I watched the game and was entertained. Bryce Lance is a stud, Raja Nelson from LN had a great catch towards the end of the game, and I genuinely cheer for NDSU in most games. Their fans can be a little obnoxious but they've won enough championships to lose grip of reality. It doesn't matter if it is 9-Man, D3, FCS, or FBS if you win 11 championships in 15 years or whatever the stat line says it is quite the accomplishment, especially considering they have done it with 4 different head coaches. Clearly there is a culture of excellence in place.
