Name one thing this team is good at...

And by good, I mean average for a Big Ten team...obviously they are not "good" at anything...but hard to find a strength of this team so far. Hard to find 4 Big Ten wins so far...

Offense:
Overall - No
Set Plays - No
Out of Bounds Plays - No
Transition - No
Free Throws - Lol
Three Point Shooting - No

Defense:
Overall - No
Perimeter - N0
Paint - No
Transition - No
Out of Bounds Plays - No
Consistency - yes!

Offense- is offensive. Defense- is not a defense Head coach- poor. Gopher Program- Doomed.

This team is at best a 3rd place Horizon League team.
Are we sure they would win many if any conference games, in the Horizon league. Even the Iron 5 team had admirable and redeeming qualities. This Gopher 2024 Mens basketball team talent wise, would have trouble winning MiAC games. The time to move on from Johnson as head coach should be now, or soon before anymore damage can be done.

The lack of turnovers and getting back on D are good things, but pace is really irrelevant to how good a defense (or offense) you are. The better question is about defensive efficiency - how many points do you give up on each possession?

On barttorvik, MN is 15th in the conference on that stat this morning.
And that was against bad teams. Now 10 points behind everybody in defensive efficiency.

Not sure how you sorted this - USC is still a worse defense. Doesn't change the thesis, though.
Ya, I was looking at just the two conference games because our non conference is so weak.

This team is good at being cannon fodder for the rest of the conference. Those of you old enough to grow up watching local pro wrestling (was Verne Gagne the least likely-looking world champion ever? Old, balding, paunchy, geez) will get this reference:
The Gophers are the Very Capable Kenny Jay of the Big Ten. As soon as he was announced you knew he was going to lose. It didn’t matter if he was wrestling a hero or villain. He was the same kind of opponent that the Washington Generals were to the Harlem Globetrotters. That’s what the Gophers are good at: getting beat.

Losing. They’re above average in the Big Ten.

We are elite on the hanging on the rim, twisting back around maneuver after one of our infrequent dunks. Fox may be the best in the Country!

Well not offense....
Those aren't adjusted for tempo, but when you do that, those same schools show up:

Seton Hall (314)
BC (196)
WF (194)
UVa (180)
VaTech (170)
MN (168)

Top 5 are Auburn, Alabama, Kentucky, Baylor, and Florida.

It is amazing how explosive Fox still is at the age of 40 and after 2 major knee surgeries.....gives hope for us middle aged guys.... :)
