"Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln...how did you like the play?"

Idk how you can say they’re not at least decent defensively when they’ve yet to give up 65 points in a game and 44% is the highest shooting percentage they’ve given up all year. The metrics would back up they’re good there as well at least to this point

Good question.

I’ve noticed that while they may not possess many of the skills or attributes of a successful basketball team, they do seem to be fairly well groomed as a whole.

I think often times in basketball, as well as the real world, maintaining a sharp and hygienic outer layer can make up for other deeper deficiencies.

I'm a little late with this it seems, but I was going to say "Compelling posters to bitch and vent".

The real question is; as you are venting or writing out your complaints about the program, do you get a temporary rush for getting that out for the world to see? That would actually be a positive!

Or, does the process of writing out your complaints and dissatisfaction just work you up even more and you feel worse? Which would beg another question; if it makes you feel worse, why do you do it?

Perhaps you could provide an approved topic list?

But, you aren't allowing the other team to increase the pace. The Gophers aren't having a lot of open court turnovers, and they get back on defense not allowing many fastbreak points.
The lack of turnovers and getting back on D are good things, but pace is really irrelevant to how good a defense (or offense) you are. The better question is about defensive efficiency - how many points do you give up on each possession?

On barttorvik, MN is 15th in the conference on that stat this morning.

I would actually call this an additional topic. Care to answer the question? No? Feel free to move on to the next subject. No suggestion in my post that this topic should be disapproved.

We will have to see how efficient we are on defense when we are playing Big Ten teams. Right now the defensive end is our only hope.

We will win a few B10 meatgrinder games in the 50/60's at home with our defense. I don't see how we win any road ones.

I could see similar scenarios on the road. Seems a little unlikely that the defense at home in front of a raucous 4400 fans is far better than the defense on the road.

You make a point. By mid season the guys might be relieved to go on the road...less pressure.
