I certainly don't hate Myron (never met the man) and I doubt many on here hate him either.
He's just an embarassment to the newspaper industry, does a disservice to the team that he covers, and for the most part, an embarassment to himself.
I don't even have a problem with him being wrong sometimes/most of the time. Anybody can be wrong from time to time. I don't think there's any real harm in that.
I dislike his juvenile writing style and he speculates WAYYYY too much in what he writes; I want to know some facts about the team, how some of the red-shirts are doing, who's injured and how their injuries are coming along, incoming recruits, etc. Spare me YOUR biased thoughts about what you THINK the coach is going to do NEXT year. It isn't that hard. Tell us what you know to be true, not what you dreamed up in a vision last night or what you'd like to see happen.
Lastly, it doesn't take reading much of his incoherent crap to tell that he isn't really a "fan", which YES, I do think you have to at least closely resemble if you're a beat reporter. You don't have to be a homer, but you can't ride the other side of the fence so consistently. I seem to remember reading somewhere that he's from f'ng Madison, which is abundantly clear if you're still reading his musings.
With every passing day, this clown makes Jeff Shelman look better and better. Shelman was good, I really enjoyed reading what he had to say. He wrote about the team, what he knew, and did it with professionalism. And he didn't feel the need to sign his stories with his middle initial. Like somehow we're going to confuse Myron with some other Myron Medcalf if he doesn't insert that initial in there.
He better not be getting paid more than $9.75/hour by the Strib. At least I hope not...
