For all those that thought Nelson sucked and Leidner should be the guy, and all those that thought Leidner was the man after the bowl game, and all those who have been lambasting and scathing Leidner the last few weeks, careful what you wish for. There were times I disagreed last year with who should be playing, but the venom with which some people go after these teenage and early college kids is ridiculous. Hopefully Streveler can come through, but it sure would be nice to have Nelson and Leidner available. To be shocked by what happened on Saturday is to not have been paying too close attention to this team over the last few years. Let's not all get crazy (awesome Chernobyl thread started) and let the season play out. Have some realistic expectations. This was a 5-7 win team before the season with an upside of 8 wins and a downside of 4 wins and a lot of the upside depended on injuries, PARTICULARILY at the Quarterback position. Like Coach Kill said, it wasn't so much who the QB was, it was more how the TCU defense was faster, and dominating our O line. I don't think it's smart to be yanking your QB when you haven't even got into conference play yet and the guy you're trying to develop doesn't have a lot of experience (oh, and your 2-1).
