Marcus has been hearing that rumor too, but nothing is confirmed.

Sucks that he had to get hurt. Hopefully it's just a minor fracture, and he's practicing again in a month or two.

But I don't think anyone is losing any sleep over this.

nad so the streveler era begins. aye yi yi

Will it be Maye or Jones that starts taking snap in practice?

Next man up. I feel bad for Mitch, but you never know. Every athlete gets a chance because the incumbent is no longer there to fill the spot. You never know...

...but that would be neither.

Tailgating lots will have no shortage of conversation topics. Drink heavily!

For all those that thought Nelson sucked and Leidner should be the guy, and all those that thought Leidner was the man after the bowl game, and all those who have been lambasting and scathing Leidner the last few weeks, careful what you wish for. There were times I disagreed last year with who should be playing, but the venom with which some people go after these teenage and early college kids is ridiculous. Hopefully Streveler can come through, but it sure would be nice to have Nelson and Leidner available. To be shocked by what happened on Saturday is to not have been paying too close attention to this team over the last few years. Let's not all get crazy (awesome Chernobyl thread started) and let the season play out. Have some realistic expectations. This was a 5-7 win team before the season with an upside of 8 wins and a downside of 4 wins and a lot of the upside depended on injuries, PARTICULARILY at the Quarterback position. Like Coach Kill said, it wasn't so much who the QB was, it was more how the TCU defense was faster, and dominating our O line. I don't think it's smart to be yanking your QB when you haven't even got into conference play yet and the guy you're trying to develop doesn't have a lot of experience (oh, and your 2-1).

Good post.

Now Joe C is saying it is not broken. Color me confused!

Goody, another week of speculation on who the starting QB is going to be. Good thing on this one is we will know pretty quick because if his foot is broken there is no way Mitch will practice on Tuesday. Way things have gone injury wise for Mitch through 3 games I think the odds are pretty high that at some point here Streveler is going to have to start a game.

I see Kill did the pretty typical "I blame myself for the performance" routine that coaches always do. That always rings so hollow for me because I don't recall Kill throwing interceptions, missing blocks, and making all the other mistakes made on Saturday.

More NCAA circus. Just make a statement.

On Tuesday, Kill will just say he's day to day with a lower body injury.

Why do you keep saying this? There's a lot to be critical of of the NCAA but they don't regulate injury communication and even if they did why would you feel you have a right to know?

Right to know?!? How can I properly bet money on the performance of 18 and 19 year olds if I don't know who's starting? /Sarcasm
