If you get SEC Network already through your TV provider, you will get SECN+ in the ESPN app.

Also, I believe you will also get it if you subscribe to ESPN Unlimited (ESPN's new DTC subscription service).

I guess whether one thinks it sucks or not is a matter of opinion, but I personally find it better than BTN+. Not only is it free (again, if you already get SEC Network), but unlike the largely student-produced BTN+ productions, SEC Network+ (as well as ACC Network Extra) telecasts are generally higher quality (more cameras, better camera work, better replays better announcers, better graphics, etc). Just my opinion.

I didn't have to pay anything since I already get SEC Network. Now having actually been exposed to it, I stand my statement that "SECN+ sucks."

Not being able to zip through commercials is highly aggravating, to the point it gives me anxiety. I just can't watch sporting events that way anymore.

Never heard of either announcer, but they were at least passable. Camera angles seemed limited. If others are worse, Uffda.

Halftime of a basketball game talking only about the CFP Rankings with an SEC slant was highly unentertaining.

At least I don't have to cancel anything to get my money back or avoid being charged anything. I can safely say there won't be anything on SECN+ that will even remotely interest me.
