Kimberly Hewitt has accomplished her mission. She believes there has been a "troubling pattern" (her words) of sexual misconduct in the football program for a few years and the athletic department hasn't done enough to stop it. She wanted to change the "culture" single-handedly. She's probably happier than a clam right now. I'm certain mega-tongue and the basketball threesome only fueled her fire. Her recommendations and the ensuing approval by the President and the U's General Counsel will have implications lasting for years to come. Very interesting turn of events.

I tend to agree with this. Hewitt was looking for a chance to hammer the athletic department and this alleged sexual assault by the football players gave her the ammo she needed. No criminal charges filed she went with the tools she had at her disposal to make her point.

Another false narrative, even if there is kernel of truth to it. The players did what she expected in a culture out of control. It was her job to end that cultural narrative. The term "looking for a chance" is like a policeman doing a patrol. It is part of the job. Or, even better, it is like a citizen petitioning for redress of grievances. Why on earth would they do that in a republican constitutional democracy? What would people do next if given an opportunity to improve the situation? OMG, does she have no shame! Prison for her! Jail her!

Settle down. Not saying she didn't do her job. She in fact did do her job.

No, the problem is that she "did her job" but the EOAA released the outcome statement with the names of Kaler, Coyle and Claeys on it without giving them prior notice. The lack of prior notice is evident by how Coyle and Claeys have responded to questions about the release of the information.

This is like a policeman going out on patrol, finding a crime, ticketing the participants of the crime, forging their names that they accept the ticket and then forging a check out of their bank account to pay the fine.
