Minny Beats IA ---Can we rush the field?

Keep your focus people! Some of you are way to worried about Minnesota fans rushing the field when you should be worried about Iowa women rushing the men's bathroom.

Take it easy on the Iowa gals.

I spend a LOT of time in Iowa seeing clients, and once in a while I'll see a gal who could be a nice plus-sized model.

I somewhat agree with the idea that rushing the field for an Iowa win would look a little pathetic.......but I am conflicted. Iowa has beaten some pretty decent teams in some pretty good bowls recently (GTech in the Orange bowl, SC in the Outback bowl, LSU coming off a NC in the Capital One bowl, and Florida the previous year in the Outback bowl). Does anybody really think that the Hawkeyes are as bad as their record from last year showed?

Now....consider that this game is being played for our 'second' most coveted trophy.....one that currently sits with our 'second' most hated team. We've wiped that 'Kinnick North' label across their faces in the bank. We can keep that winning tradition going. We received our first vote in the USA Today polls. What would a win mean to the team? Worth mentioning......this would put us at an undefeated 5-0........one victory away from bowl eligibility.

I would have no problem with a field rush.

Keep your focus people! Some of you are way too:rolleyes: worried about Minnesota fans rushing the field when you should be worried about Iowa women rushing the men's bathroom.

HAHAHA!!!

In my 2 decades of going to gopher games, my best memory may be getting to touch floyd 3 years ago after we beat IA. If this were basketball id say its ridiculous to even think about it...but I think the positives of consistently rushing the field after winning trophy games (fun for the fans, adds fuel to the rivalry-fire) outweigh the negatives (media/opposing fans thinking its dumb). That being said, the students will ultimately decide if this becomes a tradition

Nope let the players have there moment circling the field with Floyd.

If the Gophers are fortunate enough to win the game Saturday then I would say it is OK for the Students to celebrate
with the team on the field and parade around Floyd. For the rest of us chanting "35 South" and warm up the bus at Iowa fans leaving early should suffice and the PA announcer playing Pig squealing sounds should be enough.
