An Oregon fan on the college football subreddit watched the Gophers' entire 2014 season and gives some in-depth impressions of our offense and defense (didn't comment on special teams) for anyone looking for opinions on the Gophers from a truly neutral point of view. He says he's going to preview TCU tomorrow.

A few bullet points from it:

Our offense is one of the slowest he's ever seen. Played slowly even in two-minute drills.
Leidner is a big and powerful runner, but his passing accuracy is inconsistent.
Cobb was huge for our offense and will be a big loss. Attributed success in the running game more to Cobb than big holes from the offensive line.
Blames lack of passing success more on Leidner's inconsistency than on receivers.
Seemed to like Miles Thomas, thought he made great blocks and made the most of his opportunities having the ball in his hands.
Steven Richardson played like a senior, despite being a true freshman.
Impressed by the secondary, thinks BBC needs to tackle with better form, and that Murray has possibly the best tackling form on the team.
Said that Cedric Thompson and Derrick Wells made nice highlight reel plays, but also gave up big gains when they had the chance to prevent them. Liked Johnson and Travis better than Thompson and Wells.

That user (hythloday1) is fantastic. Really does a great job. This post focuses on the Gophers, and tomorrow he'll do the same treatment to TCU.

Some of the things lacking is that he purposefully does NOT go to places like Gopherhole or other local sites including newspapers to stay objective, which is cool, but he misses things like Bobek being out for the season, line shuffling, etc. Minor points, but I wanted to point it out, as it leads credence to his objectivity in watching and analyzing film.

Great read, including many of the comments after the post.

Can you imagine what our offense looks like to an Oregon fan? Talk about extremes...

I'm afraid he is spot on in regards to our offense.

Comments are interesting as well. Quite a few worried frogs. Hope the team is ready to go and jumps out early. Could set the d on its heels and give us a great chance to win. I can't see is coming from behind by more than 10 to win
