Arguably the biggest stat-head in football isn't deterred by what happened to the Gophers this week. While the end result was disappointing. The play of the game was not.

The Gophers out-gained GASO 382-198 and out-possessed GASO 37:55 to 22:05.

A lot of what happened in Saturday's game could be deemed 'unlucky' and the the stats are picking up on that.

The 4th and 1 play converts 90% of the time. We hit the unlucky 10%.

Scoop and score touchdowns are extremely rare and blocked kicks are also extremely rare.

Gophers controlled game-flow which is why I think it's a little ridiculous to overreact to what happened this weekend.

Still on pace for that 8 win season and still favored in every game until November.

The most concerning thing that happened this weekend in my eyes was Nebraska's bounce-back performance.

They looked good.
