Minnesota offers UTEP linebacker Mo Westmoreland

He didn't do cb. Probably was pining for the freedom of the open road.
My Uncle was an over the road truck driver and he used to scoff at the whole "freedom of the open road" thing. He'd say there's not a lot of freedom when you work and live in the cab of a semi truck year round.

I don't think I could have predicted this thread morphing into a thread about cb radios and trucker movies. That said....I did used to have a cb radio in my car in high school.
My brother and I had one on a road trip when we were really little and we were talking to truckers using all the trucker jargon that he knew. We thought it was the coolest thing ever

Can bet he is paying close attention to the Pavia ruling because could lead to some additional eligibility for him.

I believe that ruling is the only reason he has eligibility remaining. He was basically gifted an additional year of eligibility by the ruling and the NCAA's follow up guideline.

There is no 10/49 in CB talk. That's why I asked.
Breaker 1-9 for a 10-46? I remember as a boy my dad always saying something like this. He loved his cb radio in his car. Sorry if my memory is off.

Using the CB in our van was one of the best parts of long road trips. Especially the time when we traveled with another family so we could chatter back and forth.

Oh, yeah for sure. I know all the numbers, my dad had a CB, as well. My brother, sister and I used to get on it and have pretend conversations just to talk. It was wild. I think we called the names handles. Don't remember mine.

I was mostly just messing with you, as I can't recall a 10-49.

I remember a 10-9 (say again), 10-20 (location), 10-36 (time). It was fun.

What do a couple of ad men, bread commercials, a fictitious singer, and the National Maximum Speed Law have in common?...(Oh, and throw in a little Mannheim Steamroller). Check out one of my favorite podcast episodes...
