Frickin Brutal!

That's one Mason would be proud of.

12 To's to 1 for MSU 2nd half.

Well done, Tubby.

It's *&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!# like this that makes people want Tubby gone.

It's NOT Tubby's fault though! He had a great offense implemented the players just F'd it up! Extend him now!!

Just a complete choke job with an NCAA bid in the balance.

Least clutch team in Gopher history? Dumbest team in Gopher history? Most tentative team in Gopher history? All good topics to discuss.

I know this team is young, but its gotta be one of the dumbest division 1 teams I've ever scene.

Coaching to not lose the game. Just about every shot in the last ten minutes by the Gophers came with the shot clock around 5 seconds. Makes a
team east to defend

Its not a melt down. You actually have to have talent for it to be considered a melt down.

I know Ralph had 4 fouls, but I expected to see him back in there at the 4 minute mark or so. What took him so long to get back into the game?

I guess he coached to have the players pass around the perimeter, instead of drive to the hoop 1 on 1 like it was set up, I guess.

Does Tubby have secondary options on set plays? The way players on this team force passes makes me question that.

The Minnesota Golden CHOKERS. People have been asking "What is the identity of Tubby's teams"? It's choking, that is the one consistent aspect of his teams over the past two years. How many F'ing times have we seen this exact same scenario play out? It's always the Gophers with the lead, the Gophers start trying to "protect" said lead by running the clock out way too early in the game and eventually they lose the game. Tonight is one of the all timers though, I believe it was 3 TO's and an airball in the last 2 minutes of the game?

The sad thing is that MSU tried to help us out with our crappy half court offense by fouling twice on end of shot clock jumpers. They handed us 5 points from our "clogged toilet" (copyright Bill Simmons) offense that we never would have gotten otherwise.

Yeah, what was with that? Confused the heck out of me. I don't even want to mention the turnovers. Geez....

Watching this game it actually reminded me of that Gophers football game against Michigan where they blew that 21 point lead. As soon as the Gophers stopped running offense with about 6 minutes left I knew we would lose. But that's not Tubby fault right? WRONG, he wanted them to pass it around for for 25 seconds than clear it our for Welch's incompitence. The turnovers, the stupid fouls, the lack of a killer instinct, what a *&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#in joke.

Some will say, "If we would have had Trevor we would have won!". That bs too. We out rebounded the best team in the BIG by a consideral amount. We also outrebounded Northestern by 20ish in Saturday's dog and pony show. Ralph actually showed some grit tonight and Elliason as well.

And than how can Au Hollins not get one open looks after he drained those 3's. Is it that hard to write up a play to get him open? And every time the camera pans to Rodney he is jawing with the ref. How about you the play the *&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#in game and quit worrying about the things you can't control.

In conclusion this was a tough one to swallow. But in reality it is just a microcosm of how the whole season has been. I cannot stand Tubby but Im not sure if firing him is the best solution. I like the young guys but hate the upper classman and JC transfers. If I knew we could fire Tubby, and all the young guys stay around, I would want to do it in a heartbeart. With said, if we fire Tubby and everyone leaves, there will be many many more games like tonight for many years to come.

I am so depressed I don't know what to do.

Midway through the second half, I was envisioning us winning out during the regular season and comfortably making the NCAA tourney. To see us lose like this after playing so well for much of the game has just ripped my heart out.

In many ways, it seems to me like we are so close to being a good team, but we just cannot catch a break. Barring a miracle, it just ain't happening this year.

Calm down drama queen. It's just a game.

I personally think they're good topics to discuss. I'd like to see some comparables. My opinion is there have probably been a Gopher team or 2 worse in the clutch and probably teams equally stupid, but I can't ever remembering a Gopher team with so many tentative players.

All of Tubby's Gopher teams play scared down the stretch. I think Tubby gives players the fear of failure.

It seems to me they are usually behind.

Slice me thin and call me bacon! I had a lot of beer invested in this game and now I have to piss it out as a loss.
