There are now five active college football players in the Ed O'Bannon suit against the NCAA, not six.
Minnesota senior wide receiver Victor Keise voluntarily dismissed his claims in the lawsuit today, according to a court filing today by a lawyer for the O'Bannon plaintiffs. The filing says "the claims of the other named Plaintiffs in this action remain pending" and that Keise's claims may be dismissed without prejudice and without a court order.
No explanation was given as to why Keise left the suit against the NCAA, Electronic Arts and Collegiate Licensing Company over the use of athletes' names, images and likenesses.
