Season ending injuries at every position will definitely test this team and will provide opportunities for the freshmen. Please no more injuries!!And the hits just keep a'coming.
Not sure about Olivia. I would choose Crowl since her strength is blocking more than getting kills and let Kinney and Gilk develop into RS hitters.Down to just two MBs on the roster. Can Olivia play MB? Someone else? Gilk? Kinney? Crowl?
I would disagree with you on the importance of the middles. Coach Cook is putting a lot of emphasis on middle attacking which I appreciate. Hugh never seemed to be concerned with the middle attack, but he mentioned it in his in game interviews quite often.Considering we rarely play the middle this won't hurt as much now, if Acevedo or God forbid Hanson were to to get hurt than that would be all she wrote for the season.
No. And the program has been fairly fortunate with knee injuries over the years. Concussions have/had been a bigger issue.Hey Ruffda. You're the official chat room historian. Have we ever had a year in which we lost three starters to season ending injuries before the first Big Ten match?
I’m getting that sinking feeling. We should know tomorrow vs Marquette. And I hate to say it, but I have a bad feeling about Hanson. This team does not make a habit of giving players a match off unless there is something serious going on. Hope I'm wrong.
But do you think a lot of that has to do with how the sport is changing? I always felt the middle was more focused on blocking but now they open up the game more for the pins by attacking besides heavy on the blocking.I would disagree with you on the importance of the middles.
