Anybody know the status of when they’re available or what happened?

Our offense is terribly underperforming. Gotta think those three could add some much needed 3 point shooting or at least scoring.

Agree on the first two guys..

Let’s not forget Caleb Williams shot 34% from three last year at the D3 level in a short, slow not super athletic conference.. before he got sick there was a reason he was 12th or 13th man… plus played no D..

5 MIAC people I know said they would take Cimperman from Hamline over Williams

I'm assuming (hoping) some of this is explained by a steady diet of difficult and low % shots.

Could be wrong- the only time I've seen him or Hamline play was at the Barn, but he was certainly impressive that night

Individual Shooting % is often dependant on how big a threat your teammates are and how much opposing teams are forced to defend them.

Or if you take bad shots because you are looking to get yours…

Cochran is a post up guard, built like a tank.....another back it in dribbler. Not a volume three point shooter but does shoot it ok- 34%. He had some games where he put up big numbers at Toledo and he did average 15+ per game. His career assists are around 2 per game, but he gets boards at a pace of about 6 per game last year. Cochran, Patterson and Frank Mitchell would be the start of a formidable football team.

as to their status:

Mike Mitchell as far as I know still listed as week-to-week with the ankle. so maybe he gets back for the Thanksgiving tournament, or maybe they hold him out until December.

Cochran has some kind of foot injury. initially, the word was that he would return in December. but recently, it's been floated that he might not be back until January. so let's split the difference and say mid-December which would have him miss the first couple Conference games.

Williams has mono. just depends on when he was diagnosed, how sick he was and how long it takes him to get his strength back. in some cases, it can take several months to be back at full strength.

of the three, Mike Mitchell is badly needed for outside shooting and another ball-handler. Harder to say on Cochran, but at least he would add some depth and he's supposed to be a good defender. I don't see Williams being a factor unless he can come in and bomb a couple of 3's.
