He obviously is a great offensive coach...but he is not a good person. Not saying we need a saint at the helm, but I would, at least, be conflicted rooting for this guy. At the time, I was in full support of him getting fired. But who knows, he may be just the type of ignorant meat-head that it takes to succeed in this sport.
I've heard a rumor (who knows if its true). A buddy works as a VP for Wells Fargo in Houston. Apparently his boss was at a bowl function there a couple of years ago and Leach was at his table. OK, this is at least 3rd hand info and obviously would not stand up in court, but Leach was apparently asking the locals how he could get a hooker for the night. I don't know if he's a good person, but those actions are not the behavior of a good Mormon. Jim McMahon nearly got booted from BYU for cussing in the school bowling alley. My wife, a BYU alum, said that a "normal" student would have been expelled. BTW some people have commented about being creeped out by Mormons. As a secular humanist, and having met a ton of Mormons through my wife, I have found them to be a friendly and normal group of folks.
