If that simple statement is enough to not get him hired at the U of M.
The U of M will never, and doesn't deserve to, win.

Seriously.
People who say he has foul language obviously never played for the 95% of college coaches and 60-70% of high school coaches who do.
 

...and those that care about this obviously don't care about winning football. Quite frankly, they can go to hell in thier own little pc world.

I've played for several very good coaches who never came close to this behavior.

That's not the point. Why get pissed at CB or me? The point is the liberal gatekeepers at the U of M will never allow the hiring of Mike Leach...ever. They are just too "civilized"---in their own minds! Myself, I am not MR PC and think what he said is funny as hell! I just don't get why all the commotion about hiring him, given he has absolutely no chance with these things out there and what the admin is like at the U. If you haven't figured this out by now, you know absolutely nothing about this institution and the organizational dynamics at work there.

I didn't make the video you little stooge, I was merely using it to point out a cause and affect. "Trash someone?" Is your crying towel in the wash?
 



Leach is comparable to one of these guys who thinks he is constitutionally guaranteed to not pay taxes and screams about it on Youtube.

He is a heck of a coach but he is a cowboy that can't handle a modern coaching/office/whatever environment.

I know more than you think I do about Leach. Yeah he was probably framed. But maybe he brought it on himself.

He may very well be the smartest coach in the business.

Texas culture is not the same as Minnesota culture. This guy is toxic.
I can just hear the WCCO sports announcer commenting on the "girlfriend" video. Don Shelby would come out of retirement to do an editorial. Half the University would be boycotting games and demanding his firing. It would be an unmitigated disaster.

He's smart alright...maybe too smart.

I'll take a Harbaugh, a Shannon, a Hoke, a Kill, any winner that even if he uses foul language (as most do), at least keep their cool in public. I'd like someone who's going to unite us, not split us into ProLeach or AgainstLeach camps. This man evokes strong opinions one way or the other, he's not a uniter.

What does half the University would be boycotting games even mean? What are we voting for our next President already? A uniter?

None on camera. I could imagine every coach in the Big Ten outside of Ferentz and Joe Pa saying similar things off camera.

The problem with Leach isn't and shouldn't be what he says, it should be the places he decides to say it.

True but I don't think he knew his post game speech would be put on youtube. (not talking about the Fat Little Girlfriends video) Anyways, someone tell Bo P from Nebraska to clean up his act before he joins the great Big Ten. PS this video is old news like Ace said.

I don't have a problem even if he knew it was going to go public (the locker room speach).

I would hire leach in a second. I just hope that if the U of M isn't giving him a chance it is for a reason other than his language or his image of kind of a strange person. We are not hiring a prom king, we are hiring a football coach. He is a very good one.

Considering there are 50k+ people at the university and there are only about 5k students at each game, I would argue that 90% of the University is boycotting already.
