Mid-December Update: Season 4 of the Comparable 4 (with an addition)

Coaching?? This is 2024. Not 1994 or our childhoods.

In case you need me to translate:

Ben was developing a rapidly improving team...until the Texas schools bought our players. Etc., etc. There are several reasons why Minnesota will NEVER be a winning program. No coach in the world could win here. Our administration won't allow it. Even officiating won't allow it. Etc.

Is all about the money!

All this crap I read on hear about coaching and recruiting....they may be important but the gophers will never significantly better without a whole lot more NIL money. They'll to be fodder for the teams that have the money.

So the past 30 yrs was about greenbacks?

As I've heard on here before, we are definitely no Penn State.

You're right, those factors hold us back and make it impossible to match the level of success of the rich historic blue bloods like *checks notes* Iowa State.

And you’re a fan here why?

I have no idea if Iowa State pays for players or pays to retain players. Or if their administration suspends players when the team is good. Or if they get good officiating.

One thing I GUARANTEE...is that their coach would fail at Minnesota.

Picked 18th and praying to beat expectations and finish 15th in the conference is all we can ask for. No other coach could possibly do better than Ben.
