I haven't seen or heard of anyone in a Bowl Game taken to the Woodshed the way Alabama is taking the Spartans since my Father took me to the woodshed when he caught me smoking when I was 8.

Getting shut out makes MSU look worse but Michigan is getting taken to a similar woodshed on ESPN 2 too.

Heyyyy MSU scored! BTW Alabama holds the record for largest bowl victory beating Auburn 55-0 in '48, so at least MSU can't set any historic marks today.

Well, gophergrad, I was 8 in 1952, so my claim still stands. The Woodshed is not a very fond memory from then.

MSU blew a couple early scoring opportunities and had a chance to stop Bama on the first drive but was flagged for PI. Set the tone for the game
