It was good to be back in Mariucci. Once Mercyhurst upped the pressure, it became a battle. The Gophers blue line mishaps didn't help either. But, the offense prevailed and we avoided the fate of many other B1G teams last night. Here are the goals

Obviously, far from a flawless weekend. But it was opening weekend so some kinks were expected.

Overall I really love the depth and skill of this team. Boy, it could be fun as the year goes on and some of the new young talent gets acclimated.

Love the tough early season out of conference schedule. Mix that with our skill and youth. This is hopefully a team that will be peaking in March.

Gotta cut down the breakdowns starting next week though. So many rushes given up.

Closer than I'd like, but a sweep is a sweep. The talent level on this team is obvious, just need to clean up some boneheaded defensive play and get Lafontaine back to last year's level and this team should be as good as any in the country.
