The Bulldogs, who have received a few votes in the polls, will garner more national attention after this close victory. An experienced quarterback will be the slight edge. Fresno State, 24-21

Minnesota’s running game looked just a little too good for Fresno State. On the other hand, if the Bulldogs can get their offense going, this could turn into a kind of shootout. That wouldn’t be good for the team playing a true freshman walk-on. In the end, I think Minnesota wins and covers but just barely.
