Cheryl Reeves goes batty at the end of the WNBA game tonight where the Lynx lost to the Mercury. Ejected. Swearing and carrying on the like a sore loser in the press conference. Embarrassing for Minnesota. Let's be honest, the UCONN player, Collier is the reason that team wins. It's not the coaching and definitely not Reeves. Big bag of potato chips.

You don't win without the superstars, I'll give you that, but you also don't win without excellent coaching. Reeve is and has been the greatest coach in WNBA history.

Don’t know how closely you follow the Lynx but I completely disagree with your post. CR is a superior coach who routinely gets more out of her team and does it with class athletes. Most of the top coaches in the W have been repeatedly complaining about how the quality of officiating in the W has not kept up with the talent level of the athletes. Collier plays 35-36 minutes last night n has 5 fouls n shoots 0 FT’s- BS. CR was standing up for her team and her star player in a play where she sustained an injury that the ref determined was a no call- ridiculous ! I’m proud to have the best coach in the league in Minnesota which rarely is the case.

Cheryl Reeves is a middle of the road HC. She didn't pick Caitlyn Clark on the USA team, which shows how stupid she is. It's the players that make the difference in the WNBA - if you can keep some of their ego's in check and play team ball. Plus, she looks like the bag lady at Walmart.

All I will say is you do not win the most games as a head coach, be a 4x WNBA Champion and Coach of the Year, and have the most finals appearances by being a “middle of the road” head coach. You don’t have to like Cheryl Reeve and every decision she makes, lord knows I don’t agree with every choice she’d made, but middle of the road coach and Cheryl Reeve are not the same.

Doubling down on your ignorance. Name me another coach with 4 championships and her other accomplishments who is not considered a great coach. Your last sentence says it all as you have to resort to personal appearance attacks to make your point. Do you judge male coaches based on what they wear ?

Reeve is a future WNBA first ballot HOF Head Coach AND General Manager. The reactionary takes on here never disappoint and the comment on her appearance tells us all we need to know about that poster.

Just imagine what else she would've accomplished if Maya Moore hadn't retired in her prime.

It's the Olympic Selection Committee that selects Team USA. Why you and other Caitlin only fans can't get that thru your head, I don't know. Insulting Cheryl's appearance is juvenile and pathetic.
 




Thanks to the horrible officiating which is nothing new Cheryl Reeve has been suspended for the next game. Collier will also miss the next game due to an ankle injury.
I would be all for of firing of the commissioner Cathy M. Englebert ASAP! The WNBA runs their organization like it's Nascar where fights bring in viewers.
I'm not a Lynx fan but I like the fact the coach sticks up for her players. Coaches can only take so much.

Commissioner Englebert should have been fired last season when she wore a NY skyline dress to the finals. She appears to be tone deaf and is not the leader to move the W forward.

I don't get why some are so hung up on this. Rookies don't usually make the Olympic team, and why would you want them to? In such high competition environments, you really want to send your best and most tested athletes, and someone in their first year of professional basketball is unfortunately not that. Clark will have many more opportunities to play in the Olympics and dominate, including almost certainly in 2028.

And besides, I believe it's actually a committee of people choosing who makes the team and not just the head coach.

Plus, Clark had played almost non-stop since October, 2023. She was starting to wear down.

She played her best basketball of the season after the Olympics. She needed that break.
