The story link is missing. What was the company?
Another era comes to an end. Schwann’s has been around for at least 50 years.Schwan's, or whatever they are called now. They announced they are closing shop soon, entire company.

My uncle and aunt will be in full panic mode. If they aren't already. " How can we get the turkey loaf now?!!!!!!!"Schwan's, or whatever they are called now. They announced they are closing shop soon, entire company.

Not much left in that town after they closeAnother era comes to an end. Schwann’s has been around for at least 50 years.
Yep. They often had 6 years of freezer burn though so you needed to be real selective about where you were grabbing from the deep freeze.
I grew up 2 blocks from my grandparents so that was never a problem. I always knew where the good stuff was.Yep. They often had 6 years of freezer burn though so you needed to be real selective about where you were grabbing from the deep freeze.
Weird cuz home delivery kinda spiked.again, Schwan's is not closing. the production end of the company is reportedly doing fine. it's just the delivery end - which changed its branding to "Yelloh" a couple of years ago. the main Schwan's company and the delivery service have been under separate ownership since 2019.
with more grocery stories and services offering food and grocery delivery to the home, the home delivery model for Yelloh just became outmoded.
When my brother and I were little, our babysitter always had this stuff in their freezer by the truckload. Oh the nostalgia
One of my college roommates worked at Schwans and it was known that if you dumped a box of something over it when working was considered damaged and you could take it home.My uncle was a a security guard at Schwann's. Whenever we'd visit (I had a lot of relatives in Marshall), we'd bring huge coolers and he'd send us home with expired product. I think I turned out just fine!
They should never have hired the Twins PR team....Fire the PR people...I have heard in several places Schwan's is closing. Radio, TV and internet.
Not handled very well.
