The downside of that is that it hurts your depth and sometimes guys that would be huge helps as 5th year seniors are gone after 4 because they played spot duty as frosh. For every Eric Murray that will be a 3 year starter you have guys like Wells and Thompson that barely played their 1st years and would be great to have back or Cobb who barely played too.
Kill plays guys that he will need in the rotation the following year. Even though Wells and Thompson barely played during their freshman years, that experience helped them to become key contributors as sophomores.
