I don't check the football form every day during the offseason, so I'm just stumbling onto this now.....but I have to sadly admit, I absolutely love this thread! I just read all 18 pages; this has been message board porn to me.

It really is a great thread. It will be an official part of Gopherhole canon.

This thread is a good example of why you should take your dog for a long walk before having company over. Our ~two months without football has left us all feral and antsy and when we are left to our own devices, we have threads like this. They are beautiful and tragic.

The Shaka saga on the basketball side was very fun as well. But couldn't agree more, threads like this are why I'm in the commenting on/reading message boards business.
 

Another thing I learned on this thread is I would like to tailgate and attend road games with Writer Goph.

I haven't dome shrooms in nearly 30 years but I am thinking of a relapse. It might be like the first time all over again.

If Writergoph can convince his 70 year old mother to do shrooms, I can convince my 50 year old wife (we'll see on that one).

I am kind of surprised posts weren't deleted and everyone scolded.
 

Bottom line, most of us will never meet in real life, so all we have to go on is what people post here. I don't like to make public statements about another poster's credibility - or lack thereof.

I have no reason to think 007 is deliberately lying. Assuming he is who he says he is, he is giving his account of what happened - as he remembers it. and that's the thing - everyone involved in a situation may see things a little differently. Put 10 people in a room, and you will get 10 different versions of what happened. That does not mean that one people is "lying" and another is telling the "truth." It just means they are recounting the events as they remember. And memory can be very fallible.

speaking of mushrooms, I knew a guy who liked to drop shrooms and listen to Jim Morrison......but that is another story.
 




Can we get back on track here? Isn't there a post office on campus?

LOL to #2gopher back on page 13 saying this wasn't entertaining and he was out. This is the funniest thing on GH in a while.

I don't recall it was Humphrey, but I'm pretty sure that was dpodoll. He's the poster that most posters here would like to see go away (per John Galt in the Kill/Fleck thread).

With an airport that small, can't you just get off the jet and get directly into a car? Doesn't seem like there's a terminal to wait out in? Or did he have binoculars?
