Max

Yep, it was the clinic held against Max (and the rest of the offense of course) that had me rooting for Seahawks tonight. They obviously didn't need my support at all.

It was also interesting that we saw Drake in Chapel Hill in 2023 where he sliced and diced the Gophers D with a decent set of receivers. Not tonight though. The Seattle D is the real deal.

I was not impresses with Maye when the Gophers played him. Oh sure he completed every third down pass, but where was he on first or second down? I did not think Street Clothes JJ was a good QB coming out either. No one knows prospects like I do.

I have to say this is going to be a fairly stupid take. But through three quarters, has there been a significant difference between Max and Drake vs, the Seahawks?
Dear Max,

I think you need to reevaluate your life at this point. I don’t know how posting on an anonymous free forum, full of fairly stupid takes (where I’m the leader in the clubhouse) is further developing your skills as a professional QB or a doctor.

My advice is go down a level to improve your reaction time/decision making. While playing for the Columbus Aviators in the UFL, may not seem glamorous, I feel it is a better use of your time.

Playing at a level below the NFL worked for HOFers: Warren Moon and Kurt Warner. Alternatively, you can move on to med school and stop binging Doogie Howard MD episodes. At this point, I’m as good a backup NFL QB as you are🤷‍♂️

Ski U Mah,

Goldy

Actually, I ran the numbers and your support was the biggest factor in their win.

NYC nailed it.
Wrong. It's a stupid take. Max is on an NFL roster. NYC isn't and never will be (nor any of us).

Max Brosmer signed a 3-year, $2.975 million contract as an undrafted free agent with the Minnesota Vikings. For the 2025 season, he is set to earn a $840,000 base salary, a $10,000 signing bonus, and a $3,703 workout bonus, totaling an approximate cash earning of over $853,000, with $246,000 guaranteed.
2025 Contract Details for Max Brosmer:
  • Total Contract: 3 years, $2.975 million
  • 2025 Base Salary: $840,000
  • Signing Bonus: $10,000
  • Workout Bonus: $3,703
  • Total 2025 Cash: $853,703
  • Guaranteed Money: $246,000

I wish I got a workout bonus. I might actually work out.

Thanks Kwesi.

Maye will be fine as will Max. Max has a tougher hill to climb as an undrafted free agent.

if only you were smart enuff to live in Osseo🥴, you’d understand I was talking about 2026 moving forward🤦‍♂.

His contract isn’t guaranteed, like ~99% of NFL contracts are, so the additional two years are as valuable as your average post is worth =nil.

I wasn’t besmirching that he made it this year; I was insinuating it’s only going to last a year and if he wants an actual career as a professional football player (CB competing - not holding a clipboard), he would benefit from learning at a lower level as his highlight package from this year, looked like me stumbling/bumbling as a 5th grade signal caller🤠

Maybe try this figuring this out time before you skip a tom collins refill -

Yeah, he'd be smart to drop down to the Columbus Aviators to make $64k. If the Vikings cut him, the decision is made for him. If they keep him, or if cut and some other team picks him up, it would be REAL smart to give it up to get more playing time for $64k.

Maye sucked in the Super Bowl, the lights were too bright. He missed several open receivers, he wasn't even close. He tended to stare down his primary receivers the whole time, without any progression to other routes. He would then bail on the play and toss it to the RB coming out of the backfield on almost every passing play. He got lucky later on in the game when he was forced to pass it downfield.

I really think the Max would have done a better job for NE.

@Gopher_In_NYC Did Max sign with the Columbus Aviators for 64k yet? Time is running out! Contact his agent!

Kwesi stating they had to hide Max was all part of the 2025 bananas season. So much smoke was blown it was fairly easy to tell something was out of whack.

Brosmer I think can be a solid 3 for a while in the nfl

Yet to be determined as a 2 or 1

It's not a top-tier receiving corps. Not saying Maye would have done better with a better set of WRs/TEs, but the Seahawks' D was all over him all day long. NE just doesn't have the personnel to make an aggressive defense pay.

And I like Brosmer, but we saw the problems he had against the Seahawks with a better set of offensive weaponry. I think he would have looked the same last Sunday as he did against the Seahawks earlier in the season. Maye at least made a couple of plays with his legs that Brosmer couldn't have made.

What the hell? They brought in Carson Wentz and Rypien. Wentz got hurt. Rypien totally sucked. Max ended up being next man up. Hiding nothing except the QB room was bare to begin with, if JJ didn't pan out.

Agree. He's probably going to be holding a clipboard 90% of the time, but for $840,000 per year I'd stand on the sidelines with a clipboard naked. The league would probably kick in another million a year to force me to wear a uniform. It would be a tense negotiation.

Or, you could go to the Columbus Aviators for 64k to start.
