I think what Roland posted makes some sense. Theoretically, maybe Trevor and his attorney now are considering a plea bargain. Perhaps Trevor knows an admission of some guilt in the incident (after months of pleading total innocence) would mean the end of his University of Minnesota career (if you could call it that). Hence, that's why he'd consider transferring to another school even though it means sitting another year.
