YOU are wrong. They wore white from '54 to about '61. Then went with gold helmets and pants until Stoll took over and went all gold.

God I hate the Wacker era unis with the connected Ms on the shoulders. And I hate old gold.

Because they're ugly. Also, because white isn't one of our colors. It makes sense when Herbie or Becky wear white pants, because that's one of their school colors. We have to wear white jerseys on the road because of uniform rules. There is no reason for our white pants to even exist.

If we're going to go by past precedent from our successful times as a guide, we should go back to leather helmets and no facemasks.

Great Point...because I am SURE that would be allowed.

Maybe it is just me, but I think the uniforms worn versus NDSU in 2006 are sharp. Wish we would have done this with the Block M on the side as opposed to numbers when the uniforms were redesigned 2 years ago. Somebody smarter than me can post a pic on here of Cupito or Speath or somebody in those unis.

You make a good point. I can think of very few examples of another team wearing white pants when they don't have white in their helmet.

Stanford, UW, IU, NE, MSU, PSU, A&M, TX, Miss. St., all have white in their helmet.

While I don't agree that they are hideous, the above is a good enough reason not to wear white pants (or to add black anywhere in the uni)

All gold is sharp, but replace All white with All gold. I HATE HATE HATE white/white. It's completely dreadful...

The gold jerseys are awful. Plus they get that weird orange tint when they get sweaty.
 

Football equipment staff has already said they will be sticking with the gold pants next Saturday at Indiana. Love it.

Agree, let's stick with maroon over gold. However, I guess I'm in the minority on this, but I don't mind gold over maroon.

100% agree, Maroon over gold is the perfect combination. Great contrast and complete display of the school colors.
 

Watching maroon over gold reminded me of maroney and barber thrashing. Home combo from here on out. Maybe an all maroon every once in awhile but the original is still the best.
