Finishing last wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing.

But, I don’t think they will.

Well, I think some of them should be higher profile than they are. I also think some people are giving too much weight to sportswriters. If you rank professions by analytical ability, my guess is that sportswriters would be pretty far down the list.

Totally agree, but we have to remember that Christie was a big defensive liability. It only takes one guy out of 5 to completely blow up a defense.
 






every season, I have the same hopes/expectations: play hard - play smart - show improvement from the start to the end of the season. play team ball (no hero ball).

if they do that - and stay reasonably healthy - I can accept the results. I can't make any predictions as far as wins and losses. in today's college scene, with massive roster turnover, you don't know what teams are going to look like until December.

just find a way to beat Iowa and Lakeville East.

I agree. Ben needs to stop with the BS. When he got hired he said we’d be gritty. Just step out and make a promise for once. Set expectations that we will be great defensively, that we are going to be a squad that claws for every possession. We have depth- there is no reason that in year 4 he can’t promise that and be expected to deliver. Being among the best 4 defensive squads in the league is the only way we make the NCAAs and that should be the only thing that saves his job.
