Marcus: Elliott Eliason questionable for NIT final

If it doesn't prevent him from making a full recovery, I don't know why you wouldn't just let Elliot make the call on the last game of the season.

Let EE make the decision...Tape it up and let's go win us the NIT...

Who needs an ankle, really? Just have Eliason stand there like a tree and block shots. He doesn't even have to move.

If it's all about preventing him from being in pain then sure, but what if it's limiting his mobility enough to make him a liability? Do you really want him out there if he can't move?

Reminds me of another NIT championship game - with Nzigamasabo. He sprained his ankle badly in the first half. They taped him up and reminded him he could only move forward and backward, no turning. Probably easier for a PF than a center to obey

Playing on a bad ankle might cause him to get in foul trouble.

Well, I guess if he plays we won't be treated to any thunderous dunks. You know. Because of the ankle....

Keep the hands up, no shots below the belt... ;)

Can't he at least go in there and hammer on Kennedy a bit?

A gimpy EE will still be better defensively than many on this team. And it's an extra 5 fouls to give.

Just rub some dirt on it and get in there. Do you really want to tell your grandkids you pussed out in the NIT championship game? :)

"it is only a flesh wound" Monty Python reference for those unfamiliar.

Classic movie. So many funny lines. Perhaps you could get Elliot to start insulting SMU players with classic Monty Python insults: "I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries."

At least that would confuse the player and make them think, What the hell is he talking about. Get the opponents mind off the game. I wonder if most of the players have ever seen the movie. Now, back to Elliot, I hope he is able to play tonight.
